First time at Awa cafe today and I ordered the eggs bene with bacon today and it was delicious, best bene I’ve ever had! Big ups to the chef The girls behind the counter seemed a little busy but still offered the best possible service and the best coffee. Will definitely be back

We just came to this amazing café the staff are friendly nothing is a problem the food is incredible freshly made on the premises. The Baking try the scones they are the size of a bread n butter plate and yummy. The Awa Breakfast was incredible and we got a homemade carrot cake to take away for afternoon tea. Highly recommend this cafe and we will be back the next time we are in Whakatane.

Cute cafe attached to the Awa Motel we stayed at. Friendly service, yummy meals, generous portion size, plenty of options including vegetarian. Recommend dining in for breaky if you're staying at the motel.

Consistently good food. We’ve been here multiple times, every meal and drink has tasted great. An excellent (big) awa breakfast, the scones are so moist, and the mango sunrise smoothie (DF) was so yum. The staff are always nice too. Highly recommend!
